Pass Your Test Fast with Our Intensive Driving Course in Preston
Whether you need to qualify in a week or prefer a semi-intensive schedule over a few weeks, our intensive driving lessons in Preston are fully structured to get you test-ready without cutting corners.
What Is an Intensive Driving Course?
An intensive driving course, often called a crash course, is a fast-track approach to learning how to drive. Instead of spreading lessons over many months, you complete a high number of hours in a much shorter period, sometimes within a single week.
This type of course suits learners who have a clear deadline, such as a new job, relocation, or simply a strong motivation to pass quickly. However, it also works well for those who prefer to stay in a learning rhythm rather than taking a gap of days between each lesson.
At Alwari Driving School, our intensive driving lessons in Preston are not about rushing you through the process. Instead, we focus on building solid, safe driving skills in a concentrated and well-planned way. Every session is structured to cover the right topics at the right time, so your progress stays consistent and your confidence grows lesson by lesson.
We offer both fully intensive formats and semi-intensive driving lessons in Preston, so you can choose a pace that genuinely suits your schedule and your learning style.

Vehicle Control
You will learn how to handle the vehicle safely, including clutch control, smooth gear changes, accurate steering, and correct use of mirrors and signals.
Road Rules and Awareness
We cover the Highway Code in a practical, real-world context. You will understand right of way, road markings, speed limits and how to read traffic situations confidently.
Manoeuvres
We practise all DVSA required manoeuvres, including parallel parking, bay parking, and pulling up on the right. These are covered thoroughly so there are no surprises on test day.
Independent Driving
Part of your practical test involves driving independently for around 20 minutes. We prepare you for this with structured independent practice on Preston roads.
Dual Carriageways and Busier Roads
As your confidence grows, we progress to more demanding road types, including dual carriageways and busier routes, to ensure you are ready for any situation your examiner presents.
Junctions and Roundabouts
Junctions and roundabouts are among the most common reasons learners fail their test. We spend focused time on these until you can approach and navigate them correctly every time.

Yes, we do offer fully condensed intensive formats that can be completed within a week, subject to instructor availability and your own readiness. This format suits learners who already have some prior experience or have had previous lessons. If you are a complete beginner, a slightly longer format may be more appropriate.
A fully intensive course packs a large number of hours into a very short period, typically 1 to 2 weeks. A semi-intensive course spreads the same hours over a slightly longer timeframe, such as 3 to 6 weeks, giving you more time to absorb each skill. Both lead to the same standard of test readiness.
